Folks planning on attending the International Society of Bassists Convention this week at Penn State will be able to find me in a variety of places on Wednesday through Saturday. I’ll be participating in some events, recording others, and doing both “man on the street” interviews plus some live web streaming events.

I’ll be looking for folks who want to chat during our live web streaming, so if you’re planning on attending the event, leave a comment or email me (jasonheath -at- doublebassblog.org) and we can get you on the docket for one of the live stream times. These should be happening on Thursday and Friday around 3-5 pm, plus some other possible times as well. You can follow along with all of the live coverage at doublebassblog.org/live.

I’ll also be recording Steve Lespina on Wednesday at 5 pm in the Pavilion Theater, Dean Ferrell at noon on Thursday (check out his “see it to believe it” video from the ’07 convention here), and serving as a panelist for the New Music discussion on Friday at 4 pm.

Check out a complete schedule here.

Come say hi!

I’ve already made a bunch of plans to hook up with blog readers and podcast listeners during the week, and I’d love to meet you if you’re planning on being at the event! Please come up and say hi if you see me, and if you’d like to do a quick audio or video shout-out for the blog and podcast, I’m going to be ready with recording gear for this very purpose.
