    Cann’t stop crying!

    sehr traurig!

Thanks for sharing this wonderful recordering.

  5. Dave on January 1st, 2010 9:04 am

    Two points:
1: the piano player sould do more! (…..)
2: Mr.Tuneh’s playing is difficult to describe,
its something very uniqe, he is like those who did pure music and the person on stage was a Nobel one (like in the past), so that both together make the -A H H A- effect!

    Not like today!

Guy Tuneh thank You, its like journeying through memories charged with emotions.

  6. K. on January 1st, 2010 9:07 am

Sorry, like this it is not a pray!

    its a …..

    I don’t know…

Need more time to get into it!!

  7. K. on January 1st, 2010 9:09 am

    Its new…

Ach, I dont know what to say.

However very different but nice playing!

  8. Pierre on January 1st, 2010 9:14 am

    Guy David Tuneh!

You Are The King Of Expression.

God Bless You and Jason and everyone else, as you said “…for evey living soul on our planet..”

    Pierre.

  9. duffy on January 1st, 2010 9:18 am

Nothing to write about his playing,
but one thing is for sure, we need more people with such a BIG herat like his on earth!!

    H. N. Year

  10. Eve. on January 1st, 2010 9:31 am

With all the cold and snow out, it makes my heart melting when playing is with so much warm and love!

  11. Simon on January 1st, 2010 9:41 am

Something is not human in his playing, it is scary and sensational as well!

  12. Galit N. on January 1st, 2010 10:26 am

The Maestro is playing this work as if a Cantor would sing it, like speaking or singing and the Contrabass get soul.

    Take care you precious person!

  13. Alfonso on January 1st, 2010 10:31 am

    @ simon:

    Indeed it is.

Dont want “to be in his shoes”.

  14. Klaus S. on January 1st, 2010 10:39 am

    L E G E N D E – einfühlsames Kompliment.

    K.S.

  15. Mark on January 1st, 2010 10:58 am

This guy makes the others looks like Students.
Bravo, Long time ago since I got to hear this kinde Bass-playing.

  16. Dannia on January 1st, 2010 11:19 am

After visiting the official web of Guy, why no sigh of this great action that he did in Paris?
    “Only” his deep bless.
I think he shouldn’t hide when doing such a Nobel
    thing, its like “Nothing special”.
Dear Mr. Tuneh if I may say, You should learn to excepts a credit for what you are doing also!!!

  17. Emilio on January 1st, 2010 11:24 am

    esquisito campeão!

  18. Radu M. on January 1st, 2010 11:25 am

    remarquable!

  19. Jimmy on January 1st, 2010 11:48 am

“borrowed bass”, who cares, its an outlier!

  20. Miriam on January 1st, 2010 12:16 pm

    Quite interesting;
Mr. Tuneh present himself (in his personal greeting) as

    “…a doublebass performer…”,

    I would say:
Doublebass Gladiator or Matador is even better.

  21. Christoph on January 1st, 2010 12:27 pm

    Passion…
    gluehende Leidenschaft… = Guy D. Tuneh

  22. Heinrich on January 1st, 2010 12:40 pm

This is one of the music critics that the Maestro got last year, issued in the
    “Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung” from 2009-05-02:

“Zuvor “betete” Guy David Tunehs Bass. Max Bruch (1838 bis 1920) sorgte dafür, dass das Abendgebet des jüdischen Versöhnungstags und seine tradierte Melodie in den Kanon ernster Musik eingingen. Der aufführende Virtuose vermied erklärende Worte, ließ vielmehr das Werk sprechen. Versöhnung, trotz Shoah, wird angeboten.”

Amazing how Guy’s message simply comes through!

  23. Bros. on January 1st, 2010 1:16 pm

    The finest bassist alive today!

  24. Ronny on January 1st, 2010 3:59 pm

I would love to get a chance to have an hour with Guy as a master class or something.

Happy new yaer for everyone out there!

  25. Adam on January 1st, 2010 4:45 pm

Amazing how he turns the Kol Nidrei pray from a pray to a recitative and so on.

Very powerful player, God bless him for being in the proper side and like others… .

  26. Mia on January 1st, 2010 5:09 pm

Fine, fine fine fine and one more time fine!!

    One of a kind.

  27. David on January 1st, 2010 8:34 pm

Jason, if you think this is good bass playing then you have poor taste.

  28. Alein on January 2nd, 2010 3:14 am

    &
I think this is an Outstanding bass playing!

  29. Jesica on January 2nd, 2010 3:39 am

    Yhh,
I was just wondering, since most of the comments are “pro” Tuneh, and some are even really enviably, when will begin the “wave” of those who just cann’t stand that Mr. Tuneh is getting such comments (very probably some one who thinks he can do better..), what is important that Guy Tuneh is much bigger than this kind of low commants, you can say you dont like it but to insult Jason for doing something Nobel – I’m don’t even wish to hear someone’s playing when his behave is like this! (pure poverty).

Its like a matter of time until a Neandertal-bassist will comment and show/proof that his way of playing/understanding is SO far away from what Mr. Tuneh’s way of playing is standing for or all about!

I think, You have to have something in head, or to be old enough to keep it on with his Art of
    performing!

  30. Nadav on January 2nd, 2010 3:45 am

    “David”:
Poor is the only one who commanting like this/you!

  31. Kee. on January 2nd, 2010 5:12 am

Is it the Stuart Sankey version?

  32. Axel on January 2nd, 2010 5:23 am

Hei David, if it’s so poor, You don’t have to listen to this Recordering, why are You doing this to yourself?

  33. Antony on January 2nd, 2010 6:08 am

David, can you be more precise, or just shar why do you think that Guy’s playing is so poor?

  34. Andrea on January 2nd, 2010 6:24 am

Well David, with your way of replying ,You gave Me solid arguments that there are much more “little People” than “Big People”,
    Even here as commenting voices!

  35. Marton on January 2nd, 2010 6:39 am

Keep on going, ultimately its all about people with great ability and the wish to make the things better, to see things in other light and to try to wake us up!!.

Peolpe like you are making the difference!

Happy New Year and all the best for the little guys from Paris as well.

  36. James on January 2nd, 2010 6:52 am

If Jason has poor taste, then its only because he permits sort ot shameless comments like Davids!

  37. Barbara on January 2nd, 2010 7:14 am

David, if you think its not good, then maybe you a problem with your taste! (You don’t like it would be more appropriate as a comment).
However, it’s all the time the same, someone tries to radiate his own problems as if it would be the problems of someone elses,
and maybe this is something that Guy tries to tell us also!

Amazing how Guys playing has the power to open pandora and to moves inner things by some people.

  38. Michael H. on January 2nd, 2010 7:27 am

I dont know what’s more poor:

    Poor taste

    or

    Poor Comment!

Dear Children, Dear Mr. Tuneh, Dear Mr. Heath –
Wish U all the good things that someone can wish!

  39. Daniela on January 2nd, 2010 7:57 am

Dear Maestro, if you read my short comment, ‘cuse I know you prefer to stay behind the scene.
I find your personal greeting has superior wisdom,
its good to know that when it comes to believe in those things, I’m not the only one.
What a motivation portion. Great playing, warm greeting!

    Dani.

  40. Damon on January 2nd, 2010 8:12 am

    Hi guys,
I dont think that Davids comment is so important that everyone should reply to, more than that – I’m sure that even he himself didnt expected that his comment would be taken so seriously.

Guy U R Just Great, got to learn alot from your work!

  41. Ovidiu on January 2nd, 2010 8:21 am

Woww: the best part is the middle one,

    Its so powerful.

    thanks for posting. uria?!

  42. Dave. on January 2nd, 2010 8:42 am

    Great job Jason, Thanks.

  43. Norbert on January 2nd, 2010 9:09 am

    I love Guy Tuneh!

  44. Cate on January 2nd, 2010 9:14 am

I didnt know that he is the new 1st bassplayer of Ensemble “Les Dissonances”.
Cool suche person/player as a chamber player,
I had the chance to see aconcert of those guys
woww with this Maestro it would become fireworks….

  45. Jeannot M. on January 2nd, 2010 9:41 am

    What an ARTIST!

  46. Max on January 2nd, 2010 9:45 am

Why Guy is not playing with the Berlin Philharmonic?
If there is a place for him in Orchestra, then only there.
I saw the “new year concert”, they need some like him a leader!

    M.

  47. Wayne on January 2nd, 2010 9:55 am

So now the complete ELGAR cello concerto recordering and everythnig is good to be!

  48. Howerd on January 2nd, 2010 10:36 am

What Max?! and to lose his creativity.
After playing chambermusic with R. Kussmaul, D. Kashimoto and co, it is clear that Mr. Tunehs huge powerful stage personality is a problem to those who actually should be the most powerful people in that orchestra, Never mix Apple with Organic Orange!

  49. A. on January 2nd, 2010 10:54 am

About Guy D. Tuneh & Berlin Philharmonic:
The legendary Klaus Stoll was enthusiastic from Guys “Elefant” video in Utube.
I dont realy know why Guy is not posting in his homepage this wonderful enviably compliments that he got from Mr. Stoll about him and his way of playing (like E. Ruiz is doing in his web).
Maybe for him its not so important for the things he wish to do.

  50. A. on January 2nd, 2010 10:58 am

    and one more thing:
Shehata & McDonald have been with Guy in the same class in H. Eisler berlin, so, the Philharmonic subject is not new for him.

(maybe because of this… who knows…)

  51. T. on January 2nd, 2010 11:13 am

    What a Great player!
    technically as well as musicality!

  52. Justin Fox on January 2nd, 2010 12:25 pm

    Very refine!

  53. kathrin on January 2nd, 2010 12:49 pm

Uniqe-exceptional rendition, nice, refreshing and most of all new.

    (although some minor intonation modulation)

  54. Tamara on January 2nd, 2010 12:58 pm

What a deep wised Happy new year, seems to me that bass playing is not the only strong side of him.
Wish you all guys best wishes as well.

  55. Itzchak on January 2nd, 2010 2:45 pm

My Cator is not singing as good as he playes it!

    Respect.

  56. Simyon on January 2nd, 2010 3:29 pm

like his sound concept, his rare musicality, his intelligent, his fantasy but from most of all, that he is giving 128% on stage.
Nice temper – fire type, its very good for music biz. A good Representative would make a star out of him.

What I do not like is that he breathes so loud.

  57. Peterson_W. on January 2nd, 2010 3:39 pm

That a Bassist is getting so much “noise” around him, its only Kol Nidrei and only bass playing.
    …still H.New Y.!

  58. M. D. von H.Z. on January 2nd, 2010 3:43 pm

Thank you Guy & Jason. I love it. Great job.

  59. Amanda. on January 2nd, 2010 3:56 pm

    Was für eine Aufnahme! Vorzüglich!
Lieber Guy, bis auf unseres treffen in Luzern, Ciao Amanda.

  60. Yehuda on January 2nd, 2010 4:07 pm

I would like to comment in Hebrew, but its not working, never mind,
Guy You are Great and bringing lot of recpect to Israel, No other israeli bassist did it like you.

  61. Natasha on January 3rd, 2010 4:10 am

    I would play it differently.
The original score has different slurs, so, I would recpect SOME of it.
The sound of this bassist is very good, but I think that he throws his bow a bit to much, it sounds like attack – but form the other side it gives personaliy, power and statement to this work.
I need time to get used to this three-dimensional rendition!

  62. Marti. on January 3rd, 2010 4:26 am

Love & Peace all Over. powerful music is the right way. What a great initiative of you guys!
God bless you two and everybody else.

  63. Jeannot M on January 3rd, 2010 4:26 am

Tuneh, you make love to the world with your bow!! Big heart!

  64. Randor on January 3rd, 2010 5:05 am

nice way to start new year.
wind, rain, tornado and sunlight – i can hear in guys song.

  65. Dina on January 3rd, 2010 5:12 am

So, its not truth that Guy is editing his You Tube videos because he playing mistakes!

Nothing is for free! You are right Guy!

What people would only say to try to make the other one looking bad.

Thanks guy for a wonderful Recordering!

  66. Jonathan Fox on January 3rd, 2010 6:46 am

A double bass has sad color-sound, I think this might be especially effective then playing this sort of works.
It’s like from the bottom of the belly, deep round tone which makes Oper singing so nice to hear, in this case the singing voice of a Cantor.
Following Mr. Tunehs work, both ELGAR as well as the KOL NIDREI, for my opinion, with his “many worlds interpretation”, gained new dimension.

    All the best/Jona.

  67. Mr. T. on January 3rd, 2010 6:52 am

Never heard Kol Nidrei like this before!

  68. radu mantu on January 3rd, 2010 6:57 am

    @ Jeannot M on Jan. 3rd, 4:26 am;

Absolutely and therefor to take good care!

  69. Gordon on January 3rd, 2010 7:22 am

Why Guy is not reacting to all of these replying?
    Why staying un-seeing?
What only on stage to be in front?

  70. Jashon. on January 3rd, 2010 7:38 am

    Premium-quality playing!
I however prefer this work on Viola.

  71. Jade on January 3rd, 2010 7:51 am

    yhhh…

I’m gone be Reply number 70!

    yhhhh.. happy new year……………..

  72. Brian on January 3rd, 2010 7:59 am

Ahh.. Jason, I think you might considering slowing this “Reply-party” down, before your server going cracking or something like this…

  73. Alice on January 3rd, 2010 8:00 am

    Splendid!

  74. Peter & de W. on January 3rd, 2010 8:55 am

    &
    Happy New Year as well.

  79. jack on January 3rd, 2010 11:54 am

Very spiritual, although it isn’t 100% perfect playing.

  80. Stefan on January 3rd, 2010 1:11 pm

    100% perfect?

its not about pefect playing! its all about inspiration, statement, excellence!

  81. Ralf Zacker on January 3rd, 2010 3:38 pm

To good to be nomber 1!

  82. ANNE on January 3rd, 2010 3:43 pm

“Good gave double-bass to Guy, gut it in the soul of everyone”

  84. Marcus on January 4th, 2010 6:03 pm

AMAZING so much love and power!
Makes me to wish bass playing.

  85. Marcus on January 4th, 2010 6:05 pm

    one more thing
Maestro D. Tuneh, what about the fullversion of ELGAR and ROCOCO? think about it…

  86. Bernard on January 4th, 2010 8:35 pm

    Aha..

Very interesting, never heard it like this, even not with M. Maisky.
Is it double-bass? (for bassist its EXTREME)

  87. Noel on January 5th, 2010 4:44 am

    Why isn’t he recording a CD/DVD?

  88. Camila on January 5th, 2010 6:28 am

    Suche fine player.

  94. Lars on January 7th, 2010 6:54 am

    “100% perfect”?
    No budy playes 100% perfect!
only students believe in such a way of playing!

  95. Ben. on January 8th, 2010 2:04 am

    What a Great performer!
Wold love to hear more from him.

  96. marlin on January 8th, 2010 9:08 am

    Great player!

  97. Dima on January 9th, 2010 1:55 am

Very very good playing, a bit out of our time, maybe in 50-100 years it would fit better, today his way of playing is still to much of; “need to get time to get used to this”.

  98. Sokolow D. on January 9th, 2010 7:12 am

O.K, maybe he brings the future already today!
I think its interesting and fresh as well, those who say its bad or not good are still believe in the past!
Its the nun-traditional to make after a while a tredition!

  99. Sokolow D. on January 9th, 2010 7:13 am

this is how banchmark is made!

  100. Ludwig on January 9th, 2010 1:17 pm

I would love to get knowing him.

  103. Ferdinando on January 11th, 2010 3:38 am

Guy David Tuneh – maestro benemerito -
Maestro di Maestri. È bello averti qui!

    Ciao.

  104. M. B. on January 12th, 2010 6:48 am

    One of a kind!

  105. M. B. on January 12th, 2010 7:06 am

  106. Martha on January 12th, 2010 3:19 pm

I try to commant, why can’t I see it??

  107. Carlton on January 13th, 2010 6:38 am

So far, the most powerful personality in the bass world!
(& probably one of the strongest in the music world as well!).

  108. Arkadi on January 13th, 2010 11:20 am

Thanks J. – in the future this guy will change the world of bass!

    U’ll C!!

  109. Arkadi on January 13th, 2010 11:23 am

for a change someone who uses his bass for playing and not for kicking it out of the window…

(may-be Rabbath should take an hour from Maestro Tuneh…)

  110. Jannes on January 13th, 2010 1:57 pm

    A M A Z I N G ! !

  111. Rosen on January 14th, 2010 9:40 am

    This man is outrageously creative!!

    why isn’t my reply public??

  112. Dora on January 15th, 2010 9:03 am

    K. Rotaru from the states posted “la sonammbula”
in you-tube (with some students), it sounds like Tuneh’s rendition!!!
he just copy him 1 to 1 – great isnt it!

RESPECT TUNEH – YOU DO CHANGE SOME THINGS!!

    BRAVO!!

  113. Noel on January 18th, 2010 2:30 am

    YEP,

I was thinking the same, when I saw this video!

  114. Dave on January 18th, 2010 7:26 am

et DORA, Amazing isn’t it, it’s so clear!
Rotaru was playing very hard, now he got changed: more free, try to make music.

AMAZING that he got this tip from Mr. Tuneh!

As someone said : Tuneh will change the bass world!

  115. Clara. on January 18th, 2010 10:29 am

    Indeed!

Petru Iuga try also with his ELEFANT & Rossini Duo, but looks to me that Guy (the original) is not to copy!

  116. Ralf on January 18th, 2010 1:12 pm

Yes but Rotaru is not the only one to copying Guy, His Rossini Duo, Bottesini, Rococo etc. are “the new trend” for the past last years in Utube, that in each video can be seen parallel lines to Guy’s rendition!
And I think that this is why Guy Edit his Utube Videos!
(after to proof of Kol Nidrei that it is not because of mistakes and so on….)

  117. M. on January 19th, 2010 3:12 pm

About the rest I dont know, but about Sonnambula
I’m pretty sure that Rotaru is copying Guy!

  118. M. on January 19th, 2010 3:14 pm

Almost forgot, what an exceptional Kol Nidrei.

    Thanks alot for posting.

  122. N. on January 21st, 2010 11:53 am

    Woww and not only for

    Kol Nidrei!

Youtube start to be ful with ELGAR cello concerto on a bass!! since Tuneh posted for the first time this work on bass last year!

  123. Daril on January 21st, 2010 5:32 pm

For those who think that the comments about Guy Tuneh are over reacting, since his ROCOCO, ELGAR was posted in Internet – suddenly everyone start to play/post those works, the only problem is that every one try to play other version, because there is no official versions for bass!!.

Guy Tuneh never speakes about his “now how” but one thing he said: the original score and NO transcription!!

His way of playing and presenting his music is un-copyable. He understand the music in such a Genial way… splendid and will ever be the
    original!
Its like he does it so special that after its hard to hear some else playing the same work
    (like his ELEFANT…).

BRAVO for giving a KICK to the bass world!!!!

  124. M. Urbana :) on January 22nd, 2010 2:50 am

After looking a bit for a while, considering the level of some professors and after comparing the quality of active the bass-players out there, I can’t understand How came Mr. Tuneh don’t have a
    Professor position??

It is so clear that even our “best” professors in the states are copying, just following Mr. Tunehs way of playing, more than that, his technical skills are far far away from most of the bassists/professors out there – Guy Tuneh is a key figure and a theme of copy in the bass scene ever since he got public. (they attacked him from all over and now all of them are just doing the same – or, trying to do – the same as he)

Now this is a point to think about!

Happy New Year and B. wishes

    Marus :)

  125. O. on January 22nd, 2010 2:54 am

Sorry his playing is O.K but I dont like his rendition!!

    Next time Mr. Tuneh!

  126. axel on January 23rd, 2010 12:23 pm

We need performers like G. Tuneh!!!

  127. Silonzky N. on January 24th, 2010 8:07 am

    AMAZING isn’t IT??

    something about peoples nature:

Back in early 2008, right after Guy Tuneh presented ELGAR (for the first time ever – indeed!!) part in UTube and part on stage europe-wide, this BLOG was a battle field, for those to venerate and recognized the work of Bass-Viruoso Mr. Tuneh, and bitween those to claim that his work is pure rubbish (actually, from my point of view, it was nothing else but homicide his character…!!).

Today, Jan. 2010, “what an amazing coincidence”, more & more bassists out there are presenting ELGAR cello concerto, nice, but from my point of view ON ONE is playing it like Guy Tuneh.
He doesn’t try to play it like if it would be played on Cello (as all the others are trying…), he “just” uses his own ideas to present this and other Noble works! (he never copies someone else), fact that makes his playing even more special and uniqe!

In the flesh, personally, I would be shame to create as a Professor/College/Artist reality that proofs that I copied someone else! thing that become in this case so clear!.

Some of you are even not shame to be a copy???

It is also clear that some of the comments were writen by some Professors and Colleges (but undercover of course…) to be very happy today and to enjoy Mr. Tuneh’s break through back then!

Well, I hope that Bass Virtuoso Guy Tuneh is planing the next new project, ‘cuse it seems to me that otherwise, nothing new will come in the neer future to create a NEW inspiration-wave as it was in the last years ever since G. Tuneh started to be exposed to the Music/Bass community.
(playing again and again Rococo with or without an orchestra or playing Paganini again and again but without any idea just to show its possible on bass…. , this kine “pioneerisismus” is nothing but old, boring and tolerates the one and only idea that music in SPORT and cheap kind of, no spirit just coordination!! (playing faster, higher, “prefect”…)

Thanks Mr. Tuneh for doing “your thing” so wonderful, and last but not least Jason for keeping us in form.
Wonderful indeed, otherwise NO one else would try to do the same as a copy or even as follower.

Have not only happy new year, have the whole year happy as well!
hope to hear new from you as soon as possible!

    N.

  128. M. on January 25th, 2010 2:40 am

    I would say:
Mr. Tuneh gives us new things to think about. He has the “power” to make us looking at ourself and to ask: what can I do better?
This is like gold – its the best teacher
    that someone can have!!!

Hope to have NEWS from him!
(Can’t hold it longer until his next new video..)

  129. T. on January 26th, 2010 2:30 am

    What a Bassis!
    What a Blog!

  130. Emilie on January 27th, 2010 4:33 am

    Wonder maker!

  131. Lukas on January 28th, 2010 6:36 am

    Yes indeed!

Whats the point of copying works from other instruments to bass without bringing something from the Bass into it?

  132. M on January 28th, 2010 9:24 am

As onces said, Guy Tuneh is the Michael Jackson of the Double-bass but know even better, he is the Steve Jobs of the Bass World!!

    Until the next news, M.

  133. Andre'e on January 29th, 2010 2:15 am

    Great he is!

  134. Petru on January 29th, 2010 2:25 am

    I cann’t get it,
His playing is so not “double-bass playing” as I know it, how come everyone get crazy after this guy?

I don’t know what he does on bass, it has nothing to do with what we all know, so why the big thing around him?

The guy enjoy to be outsider? alone? to be as a clown?
why not to be like everyone else?

I don’t know who gives him the right to do so!!

  135. Petru on January 29th, 2010 2:27 am

    &
I don’t get it why this blog giving him such a BIG stage.

    welcome to the circus!

  136. Florian on January 29th, 2010 8:02 am

What an impact, such high energy and temper!

    (B.T.W. -
    Reminds me a Bass-player joke;
What is the difference between Double-bass and a coffin?
by doublebass the corpse is neer and not inside!
Ha ha ha ha ha …)

O.k O.k by Tuneh’s case, this joke would not catch.

  137. DONOVEN :) on January 29th, 2010 1:21 pm

It sounds like he uses for each piece a different
    technic, wow…

  138. EVE on January 30th, 2010 2:57 am

    et Petru

You said it yourself: “I don’t know what he does on bass, it has nothing to do with what we all know..”, so, He is doing something unfamiliar,
its good enough reason, isn’t it?
besides, who gives you the right to do like you do??!
    :)

  139. x:)x on January 30th, 2010 3:13 am

    Guy D. Tuneh =
    exceptional people going exceptional way!

  140. Mark on January 30th, 2010 6:59 am

Citcus? are you calling us clowns for being part of this blog & sharing our minds with the others?

Indeed, he plays very differently from all the rest out there, and as long as it sounds so charming, I dont care if he is a clown or something else!.
    (B.t.w. – I dont see it as a clown-action)
So many other bassists are playing all the same but still without any magic (just nothing!), so why shouldn’t I be happy to have this kind of rendition, with all the uniqe kind of it? (!!!!).

A new wave in the bass-world begins, its time to get it in our head!!

  141. Camila Burianta. on January 30th, 2010 7:20 am

    Well it goes like this:

Gary Karr was the first one to show that bass can play solo. (in our time…)

Patkolo shows that bass can be fast.(in our time)

    O. Badila did show that perfection is able on bass and in high level!!.

    P. Iuga & co. show that the bass can be in one line with other instruments.

Guy Tuneh proves that bass is a music instrument on it’s own (he make music without limit and Independent)& on the same level (and even higher) as singing, its not only playing its about creating a new dimention of performing as well… (acting, playing, picturing etc.)

since we have some jukes so here is another one:

Someone asks a Clown why are you crying, the Clown answers him: I’m not crying I’m haveing a break!!

I can’t believe that such a person like G. Tuneh
deserves this kind of comments – some of you guys are simply little A++ h+++s!

  142. Elton on January 30th, 2010 4:31 pm

Nice new rendition. never got the chance to hear Kol Nidrei like this nor the name Guy Tuneh before.
Nice, my first time as well in this blog!

    C O O L ! Good to know !

  143. Rinat on January 31st, 2010 6:48 am

  144. Math on January 31st, 2010 8:25 am

It’s great as always to get insperation from him again!.

  145. Math on January 31st, 2010 8:27 am

    It’s very Vital!

  146. A. on February 1st, 2010 12:07 pm

Why can’t I see my reply?

  147. Constantin B.- on February 3rd, 2010 6:27 am

I will go to see him here in Romania this Feb. 12. with Kol Nidrei live!

  148. Larisa on February 4th, 2010 2:13 am

Never ever, heard KOL NIDREI like this.

    Nice.

  149. Denis on February 4th, 2010 8:11 am

    OUTSTANDING

    What a Virtuoso!!

how come I’ve never got the chance to be exposed to this Bassist??

  150. Denis on February 4th, 2010 8:15 am

    Ye right:
Guy Tuneh is a clown, like M. Jackson and all the “Clowns” out there, so from now on, every High-talented Genius is automaticly A “Clown”, O.k. – good to know!

  151. A. on February 6th, 2010 2:30 am

    @ denis,
Nothing new, it was, it is and it will always be like this!
But Tuneh should go on, he is just doing magic,
bringing love and showing many bassists the way with his playing, now, this is all about!

  152. Jasmine on February 6th, 2010 9:06 am

    whats all the “Clown” thing?
    it’s not a bad thing to be a Clown, it’s a complimant!
Clowns have high level of artistic level and extra sence of feeling, they can see things that other performers don’t see – Clowns are multi talents!

This Kol Nidrei stands for its own – it is state of the art playing and making music!

  153. Jasmine on February 6th, 2010 9:12 am

I love the fact that Guy Tuneh has his own roles how to make/perform his music!
I’d love to hear him with Classical works!

  154. Sonja on February 6th, 2010 9:23 am

Here is another one: (apropos G. Tuneh and the rest of the Bassists on earth…)
My feeling are that other are trying to “show” that they can play bass (but not more…), Mr. Tuneh, from de other side,
is making music – so that everyone can see it, feel it from the first second of hearing his playing.
So, the rest out there I would ask:
Are you performing or just still playing Bass?

    all the best

    Sonja Levinson

  155. J. on February 7th, 2010 2:42 am

    Yo mannnn
It’s onlee bass playing END only Kol Nidrei!

  156. Mirce on February 13th, 2010 1:22 am

I have been in Mr. Tunehs concert in Romania in Cluj he played Kol Nidrei Solo with the state Orchestra, It was FANTASTIC and huge Insperation, we the people of Romania just love him – Great person and most of all OUTSTANDING bassist and musicion!

  157. C. F. on February 21st, 2010 2:20 pm

Not only that he is one of the finest clasical-bassist alive today, he is one of the only ones in this Biz to be honest!
