National Symphony orchestra bassist Jeff Weisner (also a former Contrabass Conversations guest) recently commissioned by a composer named Armando Bayolo. Titled Mix Tape, it is a six movement solo suite, and each movement is based on a pop song that either Armando or Jeff likes. Some of the movements have clear quotes of the song, while in others the relationship is more subtle. Learn more about Armando’s compositions at www.armandobayolo.com.
