The Bradetich Foundation announces registration and housing information to attend the International Double Bass Solo Competition June 16-20, 2010
We invite you to attend the 2010 Bradetich Foundation International Double Bass Solo Competition on the campus of the University of North Texas, in Denton, TX June 16-20.
The Competition consists of three public rounds.
The First Round is Wednesday and Thursday, June 16 &17 from 10 am -5 pm in the UNT College of Music Recital Hall. All 21 competitors will perform for 25 minutes.
The Second Round is Friday, June 18 from 10-5 pm in the UNT College of Music Recital Hall. Approximately 8 competitors will perform a 40 minute recital.
The Final Round is Sunday, June 20 at 7:30 pm in the Murchison Performing Arts Center on the UNT campus. Approximately 3 competitors will perform a full concerto with orchestra.
Master Classes will be given on Saturday, June 19 from 10-5:30 pm by the double bass judges of the competition, held in the Recital Hall.
Cost: All three performance rounds of the Competition and the master classes are open to the public at no charge with free-will donations accepted at the door.
Housing: University dorm rooms are available for any length stay. The price is: $30 per night for a single and $25 per night for a double. The dorms are within walking distance. To reserve on-campus housing, go to: http://www.bradetichfoundation.org/compRegistration.php
