The following video was brought to my attention by double bassist Adam Davis. Truly amazing bass playing from Paul Kowert, who studied double bass at the Curtis Institute with Hal Robinson and Edgar Meyer (see some musical resemblance to the latter?). I’ll be sure to put more Punch Brothers out on the blog this summer:

Great playing. I’ve never seen someone lift Edgar’s technique to such an extent. Might as well copy the best.
