What’s cool is that Dr.Beilock appears to have PhD’s in Kinesiology (sport psychology & motor learning) as well as cognitive psychology, which makes for a more complete picture of the relationship between pressure and performance.
For those who would like a more in-depth treatment of this subject, her chapter from “Developing elite sports performers: Lessons from theory and practice” is worth a look.
