There’s another Musicians at Work forum at the Chicago Cultural Center this Monday. I was a guest panelist a few years ago–click here for the audio of my presentation, and check out this week’s panel if you get a chance:

Chicago Cultural Center, 78 E. Washington Blvd. (check board for room location)

6:00 – 7:30 pm The presentation will be presented lecture style.

This month’s At Work Forum, Marketing and Maintaining your Web Presence, will feature Demetrio Maguigad from the Community Media Workshop presenting strategies for creatives to make the most of their web presence — especially websites, e-newsletters, social media, and networks. This discussion targets creatives in all disciplines — music, dance, theater, literary, visual art, etc.

Learn how to make the most of what you’ve got, to grow fan base and build audience, and enhance a creative practice through enews, social media and more. This Creatives at Work Forum is part three of a web series focused on maximizing the internet as a tool to the creatives’ advantage.

Participants will leave with an understanding of: How using social media can increase traffic to their websites, marketing tips and tricks to drive folks to their website, as well as, techniques and tools to save time maintaining online efforts.
