I spent the past several days attending clinics and performances at the 2011 American String Teachers Association Conference in Kansas City. I always get a lot out of these events. It’s a chance to meet with people who have my equivalent job in other areas of the country, and I always learn just about as much from chatting with these colleagues as I do attending sessions. All in all, I spent three days from 8 am – 10 pm (or later) attending sessions and chatting with people in the business. I’m pretty bleary-eyed this morning, but it was well worth the trip.
