Huge fan of Tchaikovsky!! Congrats on the great blog! 🙂
I played in the now-defunct Cleveland Ballet including >500 Nutcrackers and many, many Swan Lakes. Swan lake is powerful stuff with many wonderful bass parts.
One of my favorite things about playing for ballet was the rehearsal/performance ratio, since in our heady years we played 100 + dates a year, of which fewer than 20 were rehearsals 🙂
Other repertoire included Prokofieff Romeo and Juliet, for which I finally gave in and got an extension, Tchaik Serenade for Strings w/mvts 3 and 4 reversed, Hindemith 4 Temperaments, Stravinsky Apollo and Agon, and Délibes Coppelia, one of the most delightful scores ever written.
Hi, could you please guide me to where I can purchase the music for this version of the Swan Lake that you have posted? It is so beautiful!
