Maybe you haven’t noticed, but we’ve gotten things rolling again both on this blog and on the Contrabass Conversations podcast this past month. It feels great to be back in production, and we have a lot of new developments coming in 2016!
One thing that we did on a regular basis back in phase one of the podcast (2007-2010) was to feature all-music episodes in addition to our regular weekly interviews. I’m thinking about bringing this format back, with a “big” show at the beginning of the week featuring an in-depth interview and music from one particular guest followed by a shorter mid-week show featuring some music from one or a variety of artists.
I had a great rhythm back in the day in terms of content submission, with folks sending me stuff pretty much every week, and I had a backlog of content that would have lasted a good six months of episodes. Sadly, new career prospects for me combined with four moves in five years (and several computer upgrades to boot) resulted in that catalog of double bas music being hopelessly screwed up. I basicvally hsve to start over with this new “Contrabass Conversations 2.0” phase of the podcast, at least in terms of submitted music.
If you’d like to have your music featured on the program, please send it my way. I will not necessarily be able to play everything I get, but if I can make it work I will put it out there, along with links to your site, album, or whatever makes sense.
My preferred method of delivery is email. Either a link to tracks or MP3s of the tracks themselves work great for me, andf you can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Snail mail is fine also, but email will be easier for me for sure. If you want a mailing addres, just email me and I’ll pass it along.
Thanks, and I look forward to getting some music episodes going real soon!
