What a cool find!  A BBC documentary titled The Great Double Bass Race covers the very first really big classical double bass event in Europe, which took place in 1978 and features a lot of familiar faces.  It’s a little over an hour in length and features both performances and interviews.  It’s a welcome blast from the past for sure!
