Here is the second movement of the Bottesini Concerto No. 2 in B minor played by Arizona State University bass professor Catalin Rotaru. Catalin was featured on Contrabass Conversations Episode 19 playing the last movement of the Brahms Cello Sonata in E minor, which was really dynamite.

Arizona State University double bass professor Catalin Rotaru was featured on Contrabass Conversations Episode 19 playing the last movement of the Brahms Cello Sonata in E minor. I think that folks will enjoy seeing him perform the Bottesini Concerto with the Arizona State University Symphony Orchestra.

Double bassist Joel Negus recently sent me a clip of him playing the Gigue from the first Bach solo violoncello suite. Joel is a senior in high school here in the Chicago metropolitan area, and he will be attending the Cleveland Institute of Music this fall.
