Here’s a shot of Italian rockabilly bassist Fabio Cinque from a live concert in Palermo. Fabio is a member of Adel’s, a rockabilly band from Caltanissetta in Sicily, and you can check them out at www.myspace.com/adelsrockabilly. If only my bass were half as stylin’ as this one!

Has anyone out there done much playing on these “chopped off” tour basses? I wonder if they are much easier to get on a plane and how closely the sound resembles that of a standard bass.
