I’ve really got a great one for this week’s “Fun Friday” post! I found this video through the excellent podcast net@night. It’s got one guy who’s never used Facebook and another who’s very into Facebook–a quite common scenario based on my experience. Check it out!

I’m feeling the urge to get a theremin after seeing this video. I remember how fascinated my cats were by Lyric Opera bassist Andy Anderson’s lion’s head scroll. Just imagine how insane they’d get upon encountering this fascinating instrument!

….at least, that’s what this internal Microsoft video would like one to believe.  Microsoft has a decades-long reputation of releasing utterly inane internal videos.  I hope that they were kidding with this one, but they probably weren’t.
By the way, check out the short-haired woman in the audience.  She really likes Vista Service Pack 1!

My cats (my big orange male cat Dan, in particular) get quite frisky after eating their cat food.  The following scenario happens all the time between these two–Angel gets stuck in a corner on her back while Dan repeatedly bats at her.

Here’s a video of a very young Taiwanese bassist playing her heart out on the Dragonetti Concerto mvt 3.  Very impressive for a 13-year-old, and a very cute video to boot!  There’s a bit of an introduction before the performance, so give it about 30 seconds or so.
