I've been playing electric bass for years, and this book was the perfect first step into upright bass. There are exercises for form, intonation, and more! It's like a perfect little pocket guide for practicing double bass.
The book is translated from Japanese, and the translation to English is pretty perfect.

The primary drawback is some of the unclear (i.e. multiple reproductions of old photos) illustrations. The exercises are the heart of the book.
