Frank Zappa was a cat guy. Nothing wrong with that–so am I. Just dig through my bass blog cat archives if you don’t believe me. Photo found via The Catalyst, which it a truly righteous blog. Frank is my musical hero in may ways, so it’s good to see him hanging with the felines here.

This cat looks delicious!
I’m trying to find out info on one of his cats, franabulax, do you know of it?
Found out yet? According to his autobiography (“The Real Frank Zappa Book”), Fruney (Frunobulax) was a dog (becomes a monster poodle in the lyrics of “Cheepnis”). The cat, according to my best information, was named REDUNZL (also a song title, I’m not sure of the relationship). This cat I believe was the one that killed a parakeet of his named “Bird Reynolds” (love it). All the details are in his autobiography.
I could be wrong, but I think this cat’s name was “Fighty-Bitey”. Anyone that can confirm or deny?
