Three big pieces of news from the Chicago Bass Ensemble. I’ve been saving up … but if I had known how long it was going to take to get these together, I would have sent one a month for the last three months!

New Site Design

Our web site has been re-designed. My friend Anthony Viot created a new logo for us and also provided a new design for the site. No longer simple black and white! If you haven’t visited in a while, please see our new look.

Cafe Press Store

And while you’re there, follow the link to our Cafe Press Store! I’ve taken the logo that Anthony created, and made it available on t-shirts, mugs, caps and a few more items. The group will make a modest profit off each purchase, but more importantly, if you wear one of our logo items, it will spread the word about the group! Your friends will be instantly jealous! It will be a lot of fun for you! Buy a jacket, and wear it to one of our concerts.

Upcoming Concerts

The old saying is “it never rains, but it pours” and that’s how it feels to have not one but two concerts lined up in a single week at the end of March.

• Wednesday, March 25 at Center Portion in Chicago 2850 1/2 W. Fullerton Ave., Chicago, IL – evening.
• Sunday, March 29 at the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago (replacing La Paloma) 1100 East 55th Street, Chicago – 4 pm.

The Chicago Bass Ensemble is a group of my colleagues here in Chicago. And yes, we are all double bass players. We enjoy the opportunity to play challenging and interesting music in a chamber setting, and we look forward to sharing our music with you.
