As a former Yalie of 1976, I find this video totally ridiculous. In my days, the time I spent in that great university was unforgettable and still rings in my mind.
After watching this youthful presentation full of Hollywood resemblance and Broadway choreography, I shudder in thinking as to what kind of image will be left in a new student’s mind 35 years from now.
Will it be that of a fine wine as in my case, or a piece of bubble gum as we see here?
If I had seen something like this when I was college shopping, I would have torn up my application. Especially and Ivy League school should show its connection to the best of culture, not this kind of pandering.
