I realized recently that I haven’t mentioned the site privatemusicteaching.org on the blog before (or if I have, it has been quite a while). Designed by Midwest Young Artists, this site is a great way for Chicago-area teachers to connect with students. All you do is fill out a profile, upload a picture, enter what are you teach in, and you’re added to the search data for the site. When students are looking for a private teacher, your information will be readily available.
This site has some really cool additional features, like the ability to actually bill and collect payment online from students. Wouldn’t it be great to, rather than getting a check from a student every month (or every lesson), to simply allow for online payment? The appeal to parents and students is evident as well. Check it out-very useful tool for Chicago-area teachers.
