About The Bass Faculty

Doug Bistrow teaches at VanderCook College and Merit School of Music. Courses include private lessons, jazz studies, theory, and music history. Doug is a graduate of Eastman School of Music, and gives about 150 performances a year in a variety of styles. He also owns Audio Bistro, a sound recording and post-production studio in Chicago’s Logan Square.
