Thanks for posting Jason, Great isnt it but the Video was not taken by me, I got it.
AMAZING.
He is truly something Special!
Simply the BEST!!
I was very disappointed that Mr. Tuneh was not taking an active part as a performer in the last Bass2010 in Berlin, I was very lucky to meet him there last week, after Concert that Miloslav Gajdos was giving – Mr. Tuneh was a private guest of Mr. Gajdos, what an owner – For me Guy Tuneh is a living legend!! My bass hero!!
Gajdos gave Guy Tuneh music Notes, Gajdos just love Guy Tuneh, its like he is his own child!
For me it was rare and great moment to meet those two bass heros!
J.
Let us make it clear Jason, G.David Tuneh is not only a “great artist” as you presented him,
He is phenomenal!
France is the Best! yeeeee
O.M.T:
the cello-girl is sweet!

Jason my boy – its delightful, what can I say, just like taking deep breathe of fresh mountain air…
nice, great!
Thanks J.
Charming as well!
Just a reminder that I only moderate comments once per day–please do not leave a second comment asking where your first comment is.
SPLENDID!
Mr. Tuneh defines magnificent of bass playing!
@ jackmurry – He stil has the chance in sommer
in the ISB 2011…
by the way, very impresive perfoming by Guy David Tuneh.
I love the look the violist gives him at around 3:23.
What an Outstanding bow-teachnic.
I’d be more than happy to have a short chat with the Maestro aobut his very uniqe way of using his bow.
Guy David Tuneh is o ne of the greatests chambermusic players of all time!
@ John, Jason and all the rest of You monsters,
I was trying to understand it also, I think its like “Gosh I wone go home” look, like why are You so active, just let us sleep…
However an outstanding great Bass playing!
Just to see and learn from this guy!
Sure that Mr. Guy Tuneh is a wonderful bassist and has his one of a kind quality
But I just don’t like him.
to much energy, to much fire, I like calm cool bass.
More than that he lost some kilos…
Great – looks good!
Thanks Tuneh, thanks Heath –
what away to begin my
weekend.
Jimmy
My Bass Hero! 🙂
@ John Floeter, I think its like: wow you are doing to much…, for me, a viola player its much to far… (ha ha ha)
I think that he playes very fine, graceful and
passionately.
Some would say, much to much for normal bassist, but I guess he isn’t!
Great performer, every video is just to learn from.
Thanks for posting
Great great great great, amazing delightful.
Does anybudy know where can I get a materclass or something like this from Guy?
He feels the music with all his organs, he has his own dance to the music, AMAZING.
This music-man is one of a kind.
Thank You Jason, good love You and Guy David Tuneh.
Have Nice saturday evening.
Cann’t stop viewing his motions. its like made perfect to the music.
This guy is performing art bassist, what a talent!
Great Job, Great playing!
Where is he teaching?
Dear Jason Heath,
Sorry to kill the party, but this is not Guy Tuneh!
Guy Tuneh is “bigger”, he has some extra more kilos…
I just Love the way Guy Tuneh share his music and his heart with the world, he has so much to share and to give.
Go Guy, keep on giving light to the world with your playing.
The king of Chambermusic playing.
(thow’ as soloist I like him more!)
Sorry but why is it taking so long to see my reply?
Hey Jason! OK, maybe you shouldn’t post this. Guy T is amazing… but this video reminds me of this one:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ItZyaOlrb7E
also:”weebles wobble but they don’t fall down”
John is right!
Guy Tuneh is not fitting to those guy, but where schould he find some to fit to him, the guy is genius, I dont know who can give him contra.
Stil Great to see him in such an action!
O.M.G
Amazing about this guy, his way of presenting his
musical-ideas.
He playes the contrabass with all his body, Bass playing in High Tech form.
I guess it influences not only the performance, I’m sure it has something to do with the sound
(his sound is like a warm velvet, like deep embracing bass sound)
Great to see and to learn!
Thanks for posting & for A plus experience!
(and I was sure that bass can never be elegant…)
What a uniqe-style.
Very novel.
& I say, this kind of talent You cant just buy in the super, or??
Good be with you!
What an awe-inspiring!
Thanks alot, man!!
Nobel and uniqe, like we used to it from Guy Tuneh!!
Wonderful and expressive sound, my congratulations. I wonder if one can hear the ensemble in the next future live…
Fine fine fine fine!
Genius!
Well, I think that Mr. Tuneh is very quniqe, as far as I understand his artistry, But stil, this kine playing is a non-orchestral playing! which brings me to ask: who needs this kine playing?
He uses other technical and spiritual ideas, No one (that I know…) can fit to him and he can’t dovetail to any of those people that he played with in any of the Videos that Jason has posted till today, showing G. Tuneh.
I’ve been to Berlin in October and saw some of the finest bassists of our time, (Mr. Tuneh was not an active performer – pitty ’cause I would like have a look at him live in action…) and stil I didnt get the feeling that the bass is “Solo”, it is a team instrument, from the first day at school, it was like this, it will stay like this.
If someone can play it AMAZING perfect than it has nothing to do with music, or someone like Tuneh that can play uniqe but still no one can fit to him.
For me Mr. Tuneh is a kind of a frick, Great as he is, but out of time and out of planet has in our time no place for.
Bass is an orchestral instument, I dont know what he does but for me it has no place and stage in our society, in our tradition or even in the music world, maybe in few years from now but today, No Way!
Maybe I’m to stupid or have a problem with this kinde players in which Tuneh is part of but this kind of performing is for me just outer space.
I hope I don’t make anyone to take my comment hard but this is how I, John, see this phenomena called Guy Tuneh through my eyes.
and I think that other people would agree with my rendition to the Guy David Tuneh subject.
best
John
————————————————-
I hope that it is clear, I think that Guy D. Tuneh is A stunner, as aperson and as a Bassist, I just try to think out loud…
Great Bass playing, nice ensemble playing & very Vital!
Makes me seasick.
@ Jason, “Spielbass” is a Youtube user that use a very non-cultur way of commenting, he writes about Gajdos and some other Bass-kings (as much as about Guy Tuneh as well) only bad things,
Jason you should think if You Wish to give Yout blog a new “style” in giving stage to this kind of blog-cultur.
(@ spielbass: No, it makes You envy!)
I think He is OUSTANDING!
its apitty that there are very few to make me also such a “seasick”…
@ John, Not every bassist has to play in an Orchestra, I’m very happy to have some one like Guy Tuneh out there, he is not only giving new light to the jubject Bass plaing, he gives new dimantion of music performing, I think its Great and uniqe and special as well.
No one can replace him, but even if why?
Guy tuneh is Guy Tuneh.
Think, the great musician to be so special is in fact a bassist, isnt it great, giving all the other “instruments back”…
Let him doing his Job, and we can only learn and get from him more genius ideas of making music on bass as making music in general.
Best
J.
Great as he Is, Just stay as You are Guy Tuneh!
No Orchestra for this kind of an Artist!!!
He needs his own Orchestra!!
Well, I know Mr. Tuneh, he is a great guy,
charming, sensitive and has golden heart!
he has so much love to shar with everyone, like a little angle!
What a guy – like a guest on earth, just to do good for other people with his playing…
Well , I don’t know nothing about Angles and how they are doing on earth but he playes like one!
