Past President of the ISB, Hans Sturm, will teach bass and coach chamber music at the Benefic Chamber Music Camp from July 31 – August 6 at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. The program is a unique week-long learning experience designed to enhance chamber music and collaborative skills for string and wind students ages 15 to 20 (grades 9-12 through the first years of college.) Activities include daily chamber music coachings, private lessons focused on mastering assigned chamber music repertoire, Guest Artist Masterclasses (including Boris Astafiev, member of the Cincinnati Symphony Bass Section), Faculty Concerts, Students Chamber Music Performances. Bonus programs include Musician’s Development Seminars and Workshops will be offered including presentations on Health and Wellness, the Art of Recording, Improvisation, Sight-reading, Audition Preparation and Instrument Maintenance.
The camp will take place at the Music Instruction Building that features elite instructional facilities and the state-of-the-art Sursa Performance Hall.

The application fee is waived for students applying before March 15 and reduced tuition is offered for students applying before May 10.
