I heard you talk about not finding success at auditions. Something very similar happened to me and I decided I had had enough of auditions. But in just the last year I’ve become energized at the prospect of landing a gig again. I took the Lyric audition and am working on the repertoire for Grant Park. I’m blogging about that over at the Chicago Bass Ensemble website. (Unlike you, Jason, I am tending toward the very personal, The whole prospect of auditioning is still raw and revealing, and blogging about it feels somewhat cathartic.)
