Beautiful Playing from the Kansas City Bass Workshop

I caught a magnificent video of Szymon Marciniak playing a wonderful piece by ISB president Nicholas Walker.  It made my day–check it out!

Bringing Double Bass to the Rock Stage

My good friend Claus Freudenstein was in town here in San Francisco this past week after performing at the Whiskey a Gogo in Hollywood.  It’s great to see Claus continuing his dual mission of bringing rock repertoire to the double bass and finding new venues to explore.

I had a great time both playing on Claus’ ISB recital and hanging out in San Francisco with him.  I hope to see you back here on the West Coast soon, Claus!
